I have been told by a person who teaches computers
in a school for young people who are blind that the Internet is the tool that has most significantly
opened up the world for those without sight. This is because the computer can read and speak
out whatever is written in intelligible text and the person can hear it.
This is why it's important to label each image with an alternate text which can be "read"
even when the image is not seen.
I find that when I use this alt = feature, I want to add more content instead
of simply describing the image. I find myself not adding anything that can be read out because
I can already see everything.
We all need to try and remember that many persons who are not sighted are using the Internet
more than ever now. If we want them to have the same experience we are having online,
we must be more careful and diligent in our web page creation.
To see what I mean about alt =, on your browser click on VIEW then SOURCE, click on EDIT then
FIND and type in alt=
and then FIND NEXT until you see what I mean. A faster way is to roll your mouse over an image
for a moment until the alt= text becomes visible. It won't stay there long. If it disappears,
move your mouse away from the image then back again. Wait a moment and it will appear again.
Actually, now the speed is sensed by the provider and this is the list of the Jesus Film in all languages (you pick one)
When you click on the link to the Jesus Film online, the alphabet is presented so that the first
letter of the language can be chosen by clicking on it. For instance, click on E for English.
This brings you to a page with a drop down menu for all the languages starting with an E
that have an online Jesus Film.
Click on the arrow on the drop down menu and the list of languages available is
revealed. Today, there are Egyptian Arabic, Egyptian Colloquial, and English.
(Egyptian Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial click through to the same film but both names are
presented.) Click on English; this will bring you to the next choice.
You will need a newer version of Real Player and below these choices is
a link to download it for free.
If you choose H because you are looking for Hausa, you will note that it is not
in the drop down menu indicating it's not available online yet.
It won't matter for a person who is blind, but I just note that the video is the Jesus Film
in English and the audio track is in the language chosen. This matters only in the first
few minutes as the film is introduced.
God said he is not willing that any should perish. So, please, if you cannot see now out
of your natural eyes, please allow your inner self to respond to Jesus, who now has the
power to change your life in a way you cannot now imagine. I am using my vacation time to
make progress on these web pages, so you can 'see,' I too love you. I am getting goose bumps
now. He wants to make his love for you known to you.

If you don't want the United States, scroll down and to the right and click on the portion of
the world you want to bring up. When that comes up, there will be a list of countries if you
will scroll down. Choose the country you want. You can change the language at any time by
clicking on the "Language" entry on the left under "Page Prefs." Just click on the language,
which in this case should be English, and then select the language you want from the drop down.
When you are satisfied with the outcome, you can book mark the page for later. Weather changes!
